- These benefits expire after the end of each school year.
- A new application should be completed at the beginning of every school year (July 1 or later).
- If your financial situation changes, you may fill out another one anytime during the school year.
- You will receive a benefit outcome letter by mail within 10 days of processing.
- Applications must be completed through the portal; paper applications are not issued.

Free School Meals for All Students
For the 2026–27 school year, all students are automatically eligible to receive free breakfast and lunch.
Even though meals are free for everyone, it is still important for all families to complete the online Education Benefits application. Families who qualify may receive additional benefits, and completed applications help support our schools.

Benefits for Families
Families who qualify may be eligible for:
- Discounts on athletic and extracurricular participation fees
- Waived Chromebook protection program fees
- Reduced-cost internet service through participating local providers
Benefits for Schools
Completed applications help Grandville Public Schools receive additional state funding. Funding levels are based on the percentage of qualifying families who apply.
If eligible families do not submit an application, the district may receive less funding to support student programs and services.
