Join Lego League Junior

The Grandville robotics program is excited to offer Lego League Jr. for students in 2nd and 3rd grade. This year, students from each Grandville elementary school are invited to take part in the “Mission Moon” challenge.

Our FLL Jr teams are fun! Students will work together to:
  • Design and build a Moon Base.
  • Learn about traveling and living in space.
  • Build a model that has a robotic component made of LEGO® elements.
  • Create a Show Me Poster to represent their findings.
  • Share what they have learned at a Showcase to be held at Grandville High School, the afternoon of Saturday, November 17.
If your 2nd or 3rd grade student would like to learn, build and program with Legos, here are the details:

All Grandville Lego League Jr. teams meet at the Grandville Robotics & Engineering Center (4900 Canal, at the intersection of Canal and Jacob street)

Session one – 4:30pm – 5:45pm
Session two – 6:30pm – 7:45pm

Meeting Dates: 9/26, 10/3, 10/10, 10/17, 10/24, 11/7, 11/14 (NO MEETING ON HALLOWEEN)

A parent is required to accompany each student who participates. The program will be run by adults and high school mentors from the Grandville High School RoboDawgs and team members’ parents. Other than the cost of a team t-shirt, there is no cost to participate in this program.

To simplify the registration process, parents of students who are interested in being a part of a Lego League Jr. team will need to register online by September 21 at http://bit.ly/2018FLLJR
