Grandville High School will host the Sharon L. Brown Pink Out Invitational this weekend, bringing together 34 competitive cheer teams from across the region for a competition that supports breast cancer awareness and services.
The event honors a former Grandville cheer coach, Sharon L. Brown, and continues a tradition of raising funds and awareness while celebrating student participation and community support. Teams will be wearing pink. Money raised Saturday will go to Betty Ford Breast Care Services.
In addition to the cheer competition, a mobile mammography unit will be on site to provide screening opportunities for eligible community members.
