Dear Parents and Guardians,
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) recently passed an extension of the Summer Meal Program that allows schools to provide breakfast and lunch to ALL students at no cost. The USDA has explained that this extension is temporary and will expire on Dec. 31, 2020, or sooner should funding run out.
Grandville Public Schools wants to emphasize that we do not know if the extension will end prior to the Dec. 31, 2020 deadline. It is essential for families to complete the Free/Reduced Price Meal Application for this school year. Upon expiration of the Summer Meal Program extension, students will need to pay for their breakfast and lunch.
Completing the Free/Reduced Price Meal Application now will allow for a smooth transition when the Summer Meal Program expires. In addition to Free/Reduced Price Meals, there are other benefits available to those who qualify based on their application. Benefits may include waived pay-to-play fees, ability to access reduced cost cable/internet through Comcast, and other services.
The Free/Reduced Price Meal application can be found at:

Lastly, please help us to effectively plan for the number of students who may be interested in breakfast and lunch by completing the Extended Summer Meal Program Survey.
It is our pleasure to provide students with nutritious meals.
